A line scan camera captures a single row or “strip” of pixels in a single shot as something moves beneath the camera, or the camera itself is moved along a line. The object to be inspected is usually moving at a uniform speed and is scanned continuously, line by line, by one or more cameras to achieve a uniform inspection of the entire surface.
